Started in 2010, Anchored Warriors launched in Eden Valley with the hope of being a safe space where youth could laugh, hang out, and bring their honest selves. More than a decade later, we’re still meeting up each month to spend time together, play games, and talk about life.
Growing up is tough business. We know that teenagers face incredible challenges, and that, sometimes, they can struggle to know where to turn for help. Anchored Warriors is about creating supportive, encouraging environments, where Indigenous youth can be loved - and no matter the struggle - find the strength to stand as warriors in their communities for positive change.
We host youth nights, conferences, and special events across Alberta & British Columbia. Our activities provide opportunities for youth to explore ways to connect with our Creator, grow as role models, build community, and have a ton of fun along the way.
We’re grateful to all the families, community members, & leaders in Eden Valley, as well as the schools, organizations, & churches who have loved our youth over the years. Îsnîyes. We couldn’t do it without you.
