ANCHORED WARRIORS - THOMPSON

The discipleship based youth training and groups started Thompson in 2010. They started out of a need to disciple youth that had attended Midway Bible Camp but had little to no church or Christian youth group support in their community or interactions. Focused on helping the youth count the cost of following Jesus and accepting the benefits the relationships aim to provide the supports needed for faithful walking with Jesus. This includes gradually releasing those supports and immediately, after someone decides to follow Jesus, including them in serving like Jesus and sharing what they know about His good news. Full time missionaries and volunteers aim to connect with the youth remotely and one on one trying to be all things to all people exploring interests with the focus on helping the youth grow in understanding and faith. Many of the youth come from Cree First Nations' communities and start as children campers or missions sunday school kids before taking the next steps in leading others to know more about Jesus. Many of the youth come back to volunteer at Midway Bible Camp and help disciple the next generation!
